From the latest Las Vegas keynote speech.... Q: Despite being rich and succesful, what 3 things motivate you every morning to go to work? MD: Beating IBM, Beating CPQ, and Beating HWP for starters! I am paraphrasing of course...... MDs' vision of 1.4B installed PCs from 325m right now; the growth is not limited to 1.4B less 325m BUT the replacement cycle which comes in between (I am on my fourth PC in 5 years!). Dell's performance will repeat itself IF they continue to serve and listen to the customer well according to MD... Network Appliance...DELL just observing..waiting for the clear standard..participating via the server end... On IBM/DELL deal..allows DELL customer to access IBM technology via DELLs' efficient distribution sysem... On buying CPQ....was definitely amused...! Good Luck to all holding over earnings....I say 0.20 (exuberance!) Im going camping...finally......hopefully I come home with great news! P.S. sorry if it has been posted before.....
