Hey bigdude..I think OPW tried to take advantage of the confusion after the Golden Shamrock takeover to get 100% of the property. They claimed that Ashanti was not living up to their side of the bargain, which means spending money on the jv properties. Before the Hixon find, this was probably not a problem. But now it is much more imperitive that Ashanti get their crews in that area, and quickly, thus the disagreement. I think OPW used the Shamrock jv agreement violation as leverage to get Ashanti to fish or cut bait. But either way they(OPW) win (although I would have liked 100%), as Ashanti will be paying for all the exploration, and OPW gets 40% without further expense. This JV is very real, although I can understand your confusion on the issue. Read some Golden Shamrock news from a year ago, and you will see the JV spelled out with OPW. Regards Tim
