MUNICH, May 17 (Reuters) - German industrial group Siemens AG <SIEG.F> has no plans to buy its U.S. partner 3-Com <COMS.O>, Siemens chief executive officer Heinrich von Pierer said on Monday.

"We don't want to buy 3-Com, rather we want to continue our cooperation with them," von Pierer said at a news conference.

Recent media reports said several international companies were interested in taking over 3-Com.

Von Pierer also said that Siemens planned to sell off all shares in its semiconductor division in the long term.
