Tue 18 May 99 News Release
Mr. Bernie Lauser reports
Millennium Network has added a number of additional stores to its virtual
mall at wowya.com including such well-known retailers as Dell
Computer and Barnes & Nobles. In addition development has begun to separate
the mall into Canadian, American and European malls, allowing wowya.com to
expand its referral commission system worldwide and reach a global
audience. The American and Canadian malls allow the company to reach nearly
300 million North Americans, while the European mall will cater to the
distinct tastes and needs of nearly 400 million European consumers.
"Europe represents a huge opportunity for us and allows us to draw on our
European contacts," says Millennium president Bernie Lauser, who is
originally from Europe. "In addition margins are presently higher in Europe
than in North America, allowing us increased profitability much sooner."
Millennium has reserved the domain name wowya.de which will
become the base of a unique, multilanguage site allowing European consumers
to purchase products and services that they prefer. Wowya.com and wowya.de
will offer multicurrency order processing in Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars
as well as the recently introduced Euro.
"The initial response from Europe has been tremendous as people recognize
the importance of being among the first to market," says Mr. Lauser. "We
are presently in negotiations with interested parties in Europe regarding
site and infrastructure development and expect to sign a firm contract by
the end of May," says Mr. Lauser.
