Paul: Thanks for the tipoff to the other thread...looks a tad more lively. You mention "the Deere report", haven't looked on other thread, but a link might be helpful. My work shows Deere held up better during heart of downturn, but others have caught up recently except AGCO. By the way there are many posts on NH and such on the Value investing thread Message 9525845 is start of most recent merger discussion, but there have been prior bursts of interest in the sector.
