Maxx99 / bonds / cco

I've got a deal with my broker. I pay 40 cents on bonds. Now, you have to know whether the original price they quote you makes sense, or you could get screwed on the .40 -- I try to keep track of yields and spreads, so if the all-in price they quote me ends up being Canadas +10 bp for a Newfie, they're probably trying to screw me. Guess it depends on your relationship. No question, I have been done over good on occasion, too.

I had a broker try to sell me HARD on the last (?) Cameco equity issue a couple of years ago. I did some homework, and couldn't wrap my head around future growth in uranium demand given: (1) the absence of new reactor construction, and (2) the conversion of Soviet weapons into reactor fuel. That was in the context of a pretty sizeable inventory at the time. I don't know if it was just good luck that I passed at the time, as it was priced around $50 IIRC. What did I miss? Or has the uranium market balanced out since then?
