HumbleOne: I chose the phrase as a lead because my post was in response to the previous post by Obewon that discussed a report on the alternative display market and which contained the phrase:

<<Even if VRD is not covered it should provide a good indication of the competitive factors affecting the commercial market for our product. (Know thy competition!!)>>

I thought the link I was posting was new to the thread and, as has been pointed out, it was not. MVIS's VRD is not the only solution to miniaturization of display technology though it may be the best. I think implied in Obewon's post is the idea that other factors that dictate success in the marketplace like time to market, reputation of the company, price, and marketing may surpass superior technology in gaining market acceptance.
