<Since the raw materials used to manufacture a Celeron versus a Xeon aren't significantly different in price (there is more to the Xeon in terms of mechanical parts but the Celeron has a larger die)> Maybe you forgot about those huge chips to the side of Xeon's processor core called full-speed cache, which obviously doesn't come for free. Maybe you also forgot about electricals to make sure Xeon runs stable in a 4-way multiprocessing configuration, or the cost in making the Xeon daughtercard which has to support the full-speed L2 cache interface.
