David:

I called Fidelity yesterday to discuss their new daytrading interface. Apparently, they are beginning to beta test the program within the next several days. I believe they are calling it "The Active Trader" site. It will have a quicker interface to deal with, likely with fewer checks and less idiot-proof.

Obviously, this site will be used by their active traders. However, more interesting is that Fidelity brokers will use this exact site to input telephone customer orders, as well. I believe they are targeting a rollout in July(?).

Could someone answer a question for me, please? Which market maker does Fidelity forward their order flow to? Is it only one market maker, or do they send orders to several of them? Are non-marketable customer limit orders also posted through this MM, or are limit orders posted on ISLD or BRUT?

Thanks,
-Eric
