I wish I had some spare cash so I could buy in.

MINE has a great business model! They have located the "sweet spot" betwee Yahoo's "dead link" directory and Excite's "tons of useless crap" channel structure.

Their name change, while incredibly retarded, is the kind of move that wall street has rewarded with Beyond.com, whose CEO claimed, "by switching to a name that means nothing" they hope to build a stronger brand a la Amazon or Yahoo.

Also, MINE's ceo believes that the notion of "guides" can be extended to include original video programming so that, in conjunction with the CNET alliance, MINE is positioned to provide broadband content.

The only troubling part is the huge losses they have incurred. It is not clear whether they will be able to monetize their unique site. Hopefully their switch to fourteen top level "channels" will encourage companies to pay big bucks for the privilege of being sponsors.

What are you price targets for MINE?
