The RealAudio player(s) are entrenched into the Internet.
It is solid as a rock.
Just like Win95/98/NT are to computer systems...
RealAudio is to Internet players...

MSFT is trying to take some of the action but I think they're too late. RealAudio has already done it.

Others are trying to get into it also, but RA is still king.

Just my opinion, of course.

Now, when it comes to broadband TV cable with all the bells & whistles, that may be another story.
