He said he found it hard to predict if they would be, or not. I don't think MD is arrogant, very few companies can claim the consistent financial performance that Dell produces. The market has new, different perceptions of Dell. It could be said (and has been) that Dell stock has outpaced the financial performance of the company itself. Now, it seems we are paying for that, allowing the underlying earnings to increase Q by Q while the stock price stays fairly static. I'd be happy if the stock grew at the underlying profit-growth-rate, anything else is gravy...
