Soybean bribes (cross-post from Yahoo)

You are right, the EU food giants have been working with Greenpeace to try and form a soybean cartel, which has delayed approval for Monsanto and others. Looks like it is working for them so far, with the "gene-free" areas announced recently.

This is disturbing to many people because with the new demand arranged by Greenpeace, the rainforest, cerrado, and surrounding areas will be dug out for the profit of the EU. However, this will be good for Greenpeace, since it gets donations (bribes).

Know why it took 8 months to get final approval? In Central and South American "under the table" (i.e. payoff's)negotiations have to take place in addition to the above the table negotiations. I wonder how much $$$ it took under the table.

Can't wait to be accused of sterotyping and bigotry. Maybe even a little misspelling also.
