AERT Announces C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center Boardwalk to be Dedicated May 18, 1999 15:19
SPRINGDALE, ARK. Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:AERTA) would like to honor and announce the C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center in Ferndale, Ark., will be formally unveiling and dedicating a new boardwalk in honor of Randall Mathis, Director of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality at 2:00 p.m. May 18, 1999.

The 350-foot boardwalk was built with ChoiceDek(TM), an innovative composite decking, manufactured from recycled plastic and wood fiber. This boardwalk is the newest environmental education-teaching tool and is nestled beneath towering oaks and overlooking a natural spring and fern brake at the 4-H Center.

According to AERT, Chairman, Joe G. Brooks, "My father, our past chairman, the late Jim G. Brooks, worked with and was a good friend of Director Mathis for many years while he served on the ADPC&E Commission. Both men have dedicated much of their lives to protecting and improving the environment for all of us, in the State of Arkansas.

"We at AERT are honored to participate and provide material for this event; from a personal and professional standpoint, this is a very special event for the Brooks family and AERT. This is another high-profile showcase project for ChoiceDek(TM)," stated Brooks.

"This boardwalk demonstrates to the many youth and adults that will use it that recycling works, and that materials such as ChoiceDek(TM), which utilizes recycled plastics and wood fibers, creates the demand and markets for materials which closes and completes the recycling loop."

Brooks noted, "This project joins the growing list of high-profile jobs which have selected ChoiceDek(TM) based upon its durability and performance, including The National Park Service at the Cape Cod National SeaShore, The Texas General Land Office at the Laguna Madre South Padre Convention Center and the Grand Teton National Park, to name just a few."
