Michael,

It is unlikely to be price pressure, which should have showed up in the ASP. Gigabuys making loses would not be surprising to me (never liked the idea of DELL being an etailer, but I read a few reports praising the virtual integration it provides, so I converted), but that is such a small portion of their business. I am still confused.

I now think that DELL is fairly valued at 40 max (as opposed to the 50 that I had posted in the morning). But I am seriously disturbed by the fact that no. of shares outstanding rose, which completely threw my estimates off as I expected a 1 cent EPS contribution from share buybacks. It may be a blip, but if dilution hits DELL's EPS will not grow at beyond 40%. The stock will need at least two quarters to grow into it's present PE, then.
