This whole affair is rather strange. The sec rules that were in today's PR didn't take an individual with an IQ over 130 to understand and that in itself makes me wonder why everyone, TAP & TNRG had so much problem with it. The only thing that I believe has changed is that one can still purchase TNRG up to the ex-dividend date and still receive TIPS shares. The questions that jumps out of todays PR is the reference to purchasing shares in the public marketplace after the 17th and whether these shares would be bought from another individual. Who would own shares that would not have TIPS dividend attached to it? While I realize that might not bother alot of people, it seems to me that is another opening in this whole fiasco. BTW - I am long on TNRG and while TIPS was a nice reward, was not the main reason for investing in this company in the first place.
PS Don't forget there is a question in here that I feel needs to be answered. JJ
