Damage to Novell employee careers is NOT equal to damage to Novell.

I don't think that you (or any of the people helping you) have done any damage to the company, or our investment ... but are now probably becoming a threat to some of the employee's careers. Some of them deserve this ... and some of the people that deserve it the most are probably not even known to you.

I still know a very large number of people in the Software Development business, and in University research projects (Computer networking, X-500 Distributed Directories) ... I believe I can find more of these people within Novell from my industry contacts than will ever come to light by pushing on the top management through discontent shareholders.

I think I can convince them that damage to the business that they are responsible for DOES EQUAL damage to their careers ... and that perspective will probably add to the incentive to improve results ... or cause more resignations (and make room for people that will get results).

I'll probably wait until after BrainShare to start making cold calls, but in terms of responses from Novell ... I already have 2 names to call in the future. I'll keep them private as long it appears that they are at least willing to acknowledge their problems now ... and work on fixing them.
