Thanks for the advice, and I will remember it. Foreclosure sales here are held on the courthouse steps. Well, there aren't any steps, so it's just outside the front doors to the courthouse. No need to get a number. But you have to have a certified check, usually for ten percent of the sale price. A lawyer reads out the foreclosure notice and then handles the bids, usually. Sometimes they'll bring an auctioneer, if a lot of interest is expressed. I know a lady that handles foreclosures. My real estate attorney. She says sometimes nobody shows up. I don't know if the bank sends someone or she has the bank's bid already. I'll check it out tomorrow. There are a lot of foreclosures in the paper, more than there have been in a while.
