To be able to turn these types of return this far into the game puts DELL in a class with Cisco and Microsoft. I know there are those who believe that the PC era is coming to an end but I for one believe that Michael Dell is savvy enough to roll his fortune into areas that will keep Dell's earnings rocking well into the future.

Nas777, you're preaching to the choir. It's our expectations that create the problem.

If you expected a vacation each year to the south of France via the Concorde and all you got was a trip to Martinique via some puddle jumper, you'd be disappointed.

But for those who feel it's OK to visit Martinique once or twice a year, what disappointment is there?

Our expectations of Dell are no different. Everyone needs to ratchet back on the "I wanna buy the estate down the street for $2.3M" school of thought and just be grateful for owing a piece of the rock (aka Dell).

Any of the six horsemen will prosper long after the dreams of "making it rich quick" via companies without the "E" in P/E are vaporized by market conditions: DELL,INTC, MSFT, INTC, CMGI, AOL.

But of course, we already agree on these fundamental precepts....
