One line in that article stood out for me, simply because it refers to my back yard:

In the Philippines, one of Washington's closest allies in Asia, protesters angered by the war have been marching daily against a plan for military exercises with the United States.

Those protests have nothing whatsoever to do with Kosovo. Opposition to the agreement in question was strong in certain sectors (a minority; most Filipinos are more worried about China's moves in the South China Sea) before the Kosovo conflict began, and has not gained appreciably since. The protests are accelerating because the Philippine Senate is supposed to vote on the agreement soon, not because of Kosovo.

I can't say much about the rest of the article, but when I see one erroneous and sloppy connection drawn, I have to wonder about the rest of it.
