Thanks I will stick to African Mopani worms. This is a very large fat white caterpillar that is found in the Mopani tree. The caterpillar is prepared for eating by squeezing out the gut contents before they are fried in their body fat. Or you can boil them in a little water. Dried caterpillars may be eaten dry like jerky or rehydrated and cooked in a little water before they are fried in oil with onion and tomato. They may be served with grits and topped with a spicy sauce.
