Perhaps but the curve, as you point out, is pretty flat all the way out. A flat curve generally means a large flight to quality/ economic turmoil effect. A normalized environment with the Asian risk premium out of it should probably be steeper.

Yes the inflation premium is pretty large. But I've been wondering recently if the strong growth in the underlying economy is providing such a strong magnet for investment flows that bond inflation premiums need to be higher in order to be competitive.
