They reported .16 which was exactly in-line with estimates but the problem was I think the analysts received guidance that said they would beat... it was a tough call this qtr because cpq had problems and it was unclear whether it was really an industry thing or just cpq. In fact Dell is killing cpq but the mkt isn't growing like it was either and as I say the investment firms do not like to be mislead.

Dell isn't the bellwether it was but nonetheless tomorrow could be bad what with all the other bad news we have going on.

On a different note, @home is requiring 60meg memory now and some pretty substantial hard drive space so maybe broadband is the "killer app" that everybody was waiting for to propel PC sales in the future.
