One final post before I drag myself away... (for tonight at least :) NVIDIA put up some impressive numbers this past quarter and I recommend that everyone here take a gander at their numbers. It appears that they did benefit (as predicted by most industry watchers) from the vaccuum left by 3dfx's decision. Unless NVIDIA's customers beat themselves to death as they tried to do on Voodoo2 pricing, I see Nvidia as doing very well in the upcoming quarter. In fact I would not be surprised to see NVIDIA follow 3dfx's lead and merge with/buy Diamond in the next year. Right now, it is following the same initial stealth branding campaign with the TNT/TNT2 that 3dfx did with the Voodoo2 (and there is NOTHING the boardmakers can really do about it because THEY need NVIDIA to compete against 3dfx).
