Environmental Safeguards, Inc. Unveils Technology To Drastically Cut Oil Industry Cleanup Costs

HOUSTON, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Safeguards, Inc. (OTC:EVSF), announced today that it has received excellent response from many of the energy/environmental industry executives who attended the demonstration of its Series 6000 Indirect Thermal Desorption Unit ("the ITD Unit"). The ITD Unit uses new technology to remove the hydrocarbon contaminates from soil at considerable savings to conventional methods. EVSF's technology received "The Earth Day Award," in conjunction with its client Exxon Company U.S.A., from the State of Utah for its environmental protection and restoration. Unlike so-called "dirt-burners" incinerators, the flame never touches the contaminated soil in the ITD Unit application. The hydrocarbons are removed from the soil and recycled back to the client, and the "sterile soil" can be used for other applications or simply spread over the location in certain instances. Environmental Safeguards, Inc. Chairman Jim Percell stated during an interview by the local television station, "Our technology both addresses the latent liability associated with the contamination and gives back to the client the hydrocarbons for reuse. Other critical factors are the cost and time savings due to the easy portability of the ITD Unit which allows the movement to a location and soil remediation operations to commence in a very short time eliminating the costly necessity of transporting the contaminated soil to a permanent facility." Percell further commented that the contamination applications for the EVSF ITD Unit technology include soil contamination and daily process waste streams at refineries and petrochemical plants, Department of Energy and Department of Defense installations, pipeline installations, abandoned oil production fields, oil tank storage batteries and drill sites using oil-based drilling "mud." Environmental Safeguards, through its proprietary processes, is a recycler and remediator of hydrocarbon and hydrocarbon derivative contaminated soil.
