Environmental Safeguards, Inc.'s Joint Venture is Awarded its Largest Single Contract in History

HOUSTON, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Safeguards, Inc.
(OTC:EVSF), announced today that its 50/50 joint venture with Parker Drilling
Company (NYSE:PKD), OnSite Technology, L.L.C., has been awarded a one year
contract by British Petroleum (Colombia) Company, Ltd. to remediate drill
cuttings generated by their drilling program in Colombia. The Company will
immediately ship to location its recently completed Series 6000 Indirect
Thermal Desorption Unit ("the ITD Unit") to commence remediation operations
next month.
EVSF Chairman Jim Percell stated, "The Company's share of the revenues
projected from this job will easily make it the largest single contract in our
history. Furthermore, the contract is the result of a thorough due diligence
by British Petroleum of the Company's indirect thermal desorption remediation
and reclamation technologies and the associated equipment. The Company
