Environmental Safeguards product requested by BP Reuters, Thursday, February 20, 1997 at 18:59 HOUSTON, Feb 20 (Reuter) - Environmental Safeguards Inc (BB:EVSF) said Thursday its joint venture with Parker Drilling Co (NYSE:PKD) received a letter of intent from British Petroleum Co Plc (ISEL:BP) to substantially increase venture's services in Colombia. Based on the operating results there of its Series 6000 Indirect Thermal Desorption Unit the venture, OnSite Technology LLC, received the letter calling for an additional Series 6000 ITD Unit on a long term, two year contract. The company anticipates it will ship the second ITD Unit to location in Colombia in the near future. OnSite's first ITD Unit in Colombia has been operating since November 11, 1996.
