The man also was fond of the expression, "Don't contradict me." Again this simplified the conversation, since half the participants didn't have to clarify their meaning or the facts. In fact, simply replying "I'm not", to the above was met with the same, "Don't contradict me." And, I can't argue with that. Since you, Bob, have assumed the role of champion for him and his generation, I can't argue with you. |
