Limtex and others, the WSJ article is one more example of why I don't bother reading WSJ, and I only subscribe to BARRON'S for its comprehensive statistics. Wasn't there a former Supreme Court justice who said he couldn't define pornography but he knew it when he saw it? Well, it's very likely that remarks such as those you highlighted are motivated not by responsible journalism but by someone or some group with an agenda.

We had Thomas Edison at the turn of the century. Now we have Jacobs and Viterbi, who are at least of the same caliber. Those who fail to realize their genius simply give us more bargain buying opportunities. As for recent insider sales, one cannot draw any conclusions without looking at the details. Viterbi, for example, appears to be doing some reasonably prudent management of trusts for his children. This may involve diversifying holdings, creating an income stream, etc. I have studied insider trading patterns for some 40 years, and I know it is quite easy for someone to draw the wrong conclusions, particularly when it comes to sales.
