NEWS RELEASE

REPORT FROM LEADING TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP OUTLINES IMPORTANCE OF
INFOWAVE / WIRELESS KNOWLEDGE PARTNERSHIP
Report confirms Infowave's position as a leader in wireless data market

Burnaby, British Columbia, May 19, 1999 - Infowave Software, Inc. (VSE: IWM)
is pleased to announce that its recent strategic partnership agreement with
Wireless Knowledge was the focus of a report issued by a leading technology
research group for its worldwide customers.

The report provides an outline of the competitive landscape for wireless
data and notes that Infowave has forged itself an incredible position in the
mobile data market.

The report also explains how Infowave is using Wireless Knowledge, a
QUALCOMM and Microsoft company, to implement its product and that it expects
that the major CDMA operators seeking wireless data solutions will partner
with Wireless Knowledge. This, in turn, will give Infowave a link into that
key channel.

"We are pleased that this partnership to include Infowave's software in the
Wireless Knowledge Revolv service has caught the attention of a leading
technology research group," says Jim McIntosh, President and CEO of
Infowave. "The customers for this type of research are the same potential
customers for Infowave's wireless computing solutions. These reports carry
significant weight with Fortune 1000 companies and we are happy that more of
them will now understand the importance of the partnership and the impact
that it will have on the wireless data market."

The report contains proprietary research that is copyrighted and cannot be
quoted. It can only be distributed in its entirety. To receive a copy of
