The squeeze is not externally forced, but I decide myself when to cover. I reached my loss limit, so covered. When a stock turns against you while shorting, you can either (1) cover, and short at a higher price, or (2) short more. (2) requires deep pockets, but this is what the professional short sellers do. Not being that rich, I did (1). I knew that there were a lot of shorts who had stops above the 44 resistance. Should have gone long!
