In Forbes, Milton Friedman (no rash speculator) suggests that the Internet will help keep governments smaller, because they will lose the ability to enforce significant taxes! This fits with my belief that many values will accrue to the Internet that are still unanticipated, and the early big players will get most of the benefit because they're there to scoop up the advantages, and that stock in any of today's main players is a dead lock winner.

Your post on eBay is the same thing. As the early leader, they will dominate auctions, and have access to capital to expand them in ways we haven't even thought of yet.

Regards,
Tom
