EMB Corporation's Joint Venture Partner and
Rhythms NetConnections, Inc. Sign Agreement

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul C. Stevens, President of VPN Communications, Inc. (VPNCOM),
Joint Venture partner with EMB Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: EMBU - news) announced today that a formal agreement
has been completed between Rhythms NetConnections, Inc. (Nasdaq: RTHM - news) and VPNCOM for National DSL
circuit services. The agreement includes an initial DS-3 connection from VPNCOM to the Rhythms network.

Mr. Stevens said, ''This agreement with Rhythms provides VPNCOM and EMB Corporation an immediate point to point
DSL network solution for our private secured network and high bandwidth Internet services. The Technical alliances of
Rhythms with Cisco Systems, Xylan, an Alcatel Company, Paradyne and others provides VPNCOM additional support for
our network solutions and clients.'' Mr. Stevens went on to say, ''Providing DSL network solutions and services to our clients
for our private secured ''Video, Voice, and Data'' network puts VPN Communications and EMB on the cutting-edge of
network technology. We look forward to working closely with Rhythms in providing our services to the real estate, mortgage,
