George, et al, Morgan on CNBC early today. Mr Smooth as usual, although he stumbled over line widths, wanting to say wine widths or something a couple of times.
Said nothing new really. 0.18 the big driver. AMAT has the full suite of tools, is the one stop of choice.
Haines said worldwide must be better, right? Which country rebounding the most, Japan, Taiwan, Korea??? Morgan - Taiwan, the foundries are making big comebacks (we knew that).
Haines - what segment is getting hotter, DRAM, DSP? Morgan didn't address DSP, but said DRAM is in a typically slow period for them, but should be doing better soon.
Copper? Morgan said AMAT had 2 more new equipment pieces for CU.
No 300 mm. mention.
Talked about employment, as per the recent news of high tech bodies shortage, Morgan said AMAT not having trouble hiring, as they are the pre-eminent company in the sector, and a desirable place to work (what else is he going to say?). When pressed, Morgan did say that others were having trouble hiring.
Like I said, Morgan, Mr Smooth. On to the Intel stockholders meeting. Have to get that dude moving again.
