try hooking your laptop up to the DSL line you pay $100 a month for, when you are not at home. Try hooking your laptop to the satellite when you are on the road. No broadband service that i know of is portable like 56.6 dial up. Broadband is the future of the internet, even AOL knows that. No BB connection that I know of will allow you to connect to AOL when you are not at home.

You are comparing apples to oranges. You do not use @HOME to connect to the internet. You use @HOME to connect for broadband speeds. If all you want is connection and some cool products and services, you choose AOL. If you want speed and power you choose @HOME. If you want to connect while on the road, you can always use a plethora of free access providers.
