This chip will redefine the computer because the interface will be a true 3D experience. The good news it the software is already to go and running on Silicon Graphics class workstations. Operating in a parallel configuration, these desktop super-computers will have no problem with speaker independent voice recognition and currently daunting tasks. Time flys and these systems will soon be here, but let's not forget that in the meantime, ultra-high speed sub-systems supporting the Pentium II will reign supreme. The cost savings for consumers and box-makers are significant. Let's see what they are offering on Wednesday! The 1GHz chip certainly tells us why IBM and the other tier-one players are backing Intel all the way, they'll want that product in the next 18 to 24 months.
