I don't think it takes a genius, "analyst" or so-called financial writer to see where the benefits are here. It's very complicated deal so that it requires huge boards, jobs for all honchos, lawyers, accountants, etc. It's corporate amerika at its best. Imagine the legal fees for doing this complex deal. While T and others are doing well for the shareholders, this company put together a deal to make management rich. Share price reflects all this.
