***Soundview Financial believes DELL IS A HUGE INTERNET PLAY...

I just scanned 8-10 analyst reports on First Call....Some inc. estimates, some dec. estimates, some upgrades (buy on weakness) and a downgrade from Dillon Read. What caught my attention is this set of comments by Soundview Financial -- released at 10:54 am EST today...

<<DELL is a huge internet play. One third of revenue ($6.5 Billion run rate) is now derived from the internet. DELL continues to promote its push to become an "e-company" with all the facets of its business - supply chain to customer orders - communicated over the internet. DELL believes it can do for info. flow what it did to inventory and channel management.>>

ING Barrings also commented that DELL's internet sales could hit $30 million/day before the end of the year. (Rates DELL a BUY)

Montogomery Securities comments that "the shift to the web should be an increasing source of advantage for DELL....We expect DELL to gain further speed and cost advantages over procurement, customer support, and relationship management activity." (Rates DELL a BUY)

I wouldn't count DELL out yet......Today MSD is in Redmond, WA participating in Bill Gates' CEO Forum -- networking with many current and potential customers. In the next 2 hours DELL's Vice Chairman (Mort Topfer) will be speaking at a Merrill Lynch Hardware program in New York City. He is "the father figure" at DELL and will most likely talk about DELL's major growth opportunities in new markets, overseas, and on the internet.

DELL will Rise Again. Yet, many investors and Fund Managers had inflated expectations. We may have to deal with some turbulence in the near term before we move to a higher altitude....I would rate DELL a Long Term Buy.<GG>... and will continue to hold my shares (for now).

Best Regards,

Scott
