Gee maybe I'm unusual but in the last month I've bought plane tickets, rented a car, done research to buy a $25,000 digital printer, bought books, cds, researched my next car purchase all on the internet. In the last year, I've bought over $25,000 worth of computer equipment, toys, video games, software and a quarter million worth of stock on Datek....all on my computer, on the internet. And yes paid $200 to join SI.
And you guys are wondering how the internet companies are going to make money? I'm wondering lately what is going to happen to traditional retailers, full service brokers and travel agencies. If I was working for any of them I'd be looking for some other place to work. |
