Two very interesting articles- I usually scan the site once a week for anything worth posting. These two caught my eye - the first because it's eye-opening news to me, and the second because the gold forecast is off the wall. Loans, not land are bringing in the big yen today: afr.com.au Marc Faber on macro happenings: afr.com.au Note - the articles will only be accessible for about another week from the day of this post - AFR only keeps the last 2 weeks worth of articles on the server. As a comment on the second article, I believe you can add GE to the list of 'hedge funds', as is the action of them buying LTCB NPL's for pennies on the dollar, which is the most prominent of their Asian vulture ventures these past few months..... The appliance & jet engine units should be spun off because their growth is tepid while the hedge fund ops are red hot - and it were not for those crafty activities then GE would be having quite a hard time growing.
