Oh my, you really are behind the times aren't you ? Well it seems that the acquisition of that giant of the sports apparel world, Next Level fell through when Tide Glider had the audacity to do a drive by of their headquarters and found it to be a residential condiminium.

When that fell through because he snooped, they proceeded to make announcements about other sports related acquisitions but those too have fallen by the wayside. I guess someone got nervous that we might check those out as well. It was then announced that they had decided to stick with their old "business" of sending out coupons in the the mail or whatever the heck they had been doing unsuccessfully before.

As they were forced to admit in their SEC filing, the SEC frowned on the fact that they made the bogus announcement about the Next Level aquisition, of course one assumes the SEC noticed that a thread was started here on SI on a Friday hyped by Riley and Pugs for an entire weekend and enabled insiders to make a considerable amount of money in the first 30 minutes of trading that day. <G>

Of course a good many people lost a great deal of money that day too, even though we did our best to point out the prior failings of stocks promoted by Riley and Pugs. C'est la vie

I too have always wondered about those Hall of Famers. ROFL
