Would someone please help me here. I don't understand why AOL should care how you access their service or be responsible for how you access their service. I didn't pay more when I upgraded from 28K to 56K. You access their service in what ever way you pay for or have access to (not even related to AOL). For example, at home I access through modem, somewhere else I may access TCP/IP (very fast). I guess I just don't understand what this has to do with AOL. It should be the companies that offer these mediums that are the bottleneck, ie. the phone company or cable company or the wireless company not AOL, unless they are going to get into these other businesses. These other companies should offer these mediums to be able to access ANY provider, they shouldn't care who your provider is. It should be irrelevant to AOL. Someone help me out here, and guess what, I'm a programmer, maybe that's why I don't understand what the big deal is.
