Novell IntranetWare for Small Business Endorsed by Leading Computer

Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard and IBM Partner With Novell to Deliver Cost-effective,
Easy-to-use Networking Solution

OREM, Utah, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Industry-leading computer hardware providers today announced support for
Novell IntranetWare(TM) for Small Business(TM). Compaq, Dell and Hewlett-Packard have partnered with Novell Inc to
ship IntranetWare for Small Business with their network server solutions, making networking technology easy to purchase and
implement. IBM is endorsing Novell's new offering and ensuring compatibility with its entry-level server systems.
IntranetWare for Small Business provides a complete networking solution that is easily installed, managed and maintained for
businesses that do not have dedicated network administrators. It offers per-user licensing, allowing customers to
cost-effectively add network users as their businesses grow.

To build on the award-winning, easy-to-use features of theNetServer E Series, Hewlett-Packard will be delivering
IntranetWare for Small Business as an option with every NetServer E40. Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Novell are providing
resellers with everything they need to create a networking solution for environments with little or no resources for IT
management. If the software option is selected, the reseller simply needs to purchase an activation key from a distributor to
unlock the license for the software.

IntranetWare for Small Business, HP and Novell are able to offer a complete networking solution."

IntranetWare for Small Business offers easy installation with its Installation QuickStart(TM) program, simplified management
with the Novell Easy Administration Tool(TM) (NEAT(TM)), and a single-site directory integrated with NEAT(TM) to allow
customers to manage users and network information with NDS(TM). In addition, NetWare Connect(TM) provides access to
the Internet, remote access to the network from any location and significant cost savings by allowing customers to share
modem hardware. In addition, IntranetWare for Small Business supports GroupWise(TM), Novell's client/server messaging
system that integrates e-mail, calendaring/scheduling and task management with document management and workflow into a
single Universal Mail Box.

Pricing and Availability

IntranetWare for Small Business is now available worldwide through Novell's global reseller channel. IntranetWare for Small
Business has a suggested list price of U.S. $895 for a server plus a five-user license. The list price for a one-user add-on
license is U.S. $65. Novell is also offering special upgrade pricing for users of both Novell and non-Novell server operating
systems.

Suggested retail pricing for upgrades is U.S. $495 for a server plus a five-user upgrade and U.S. $795 for a ten-user
upgrade. Purchase price may vary depending upon reseller discounts. Additional information about IntranetWare for Small
