Oriole Systems Inc. has declared a major addition to its e-China on-line project: the gems and jewellery catalogue of the International Gem Trading Center (IGTC) of Beijing
"the MOA will be followed in the next 30 to 60 days with a working pilot of the new Web mall."
So we now have a gems and jewellery store, Dutch clock auctioning gems and jewellery. By 'store' I mean an internet e-commerce site. I called Marie Antoinette Shields today (PM in Ottawa for me, AM in Van. for her) and I asked for the URL for this site. She said it's 'mymart.net'. Nothing there yet, when I tried it. But, as noted in the release, a working pilot web site will take 30-60 days.
I can hardly wait. And neither can the big brokerage houses from the states. They will shortly visit OOL's offices for a first hand assessment of this quite astounding internet achievement. And it started in Canada too, eh!
But not for long will it remain solely in Canada, apparently. She said there is a plan to get on NASDAQ using the 'oriolesystems.com' setup, somehow, without any share dilution. She was having no problems with it, but it wasn't crystal clear to me how they intend to do it. Maybe a share exchange of OOL shares for these new 'oriolesystems' shares on NASDAQ. Very confusing to me, to say the least.
Things are moving quickly and the way Americans love internet stocks, they could drive these OOL NASDAQ shares through the roof! Just think about it, e-commerce involving Beijing mall stores and gems and jewellery, too. And no middle men! Just think of the savings!! I said almost all consumer items are made in China today, at least most of what I wear is, and any e-commerce related company like OOL should do very well being first on the global internet to offer these goods to the public no matter where they live. She agreed! Get all the shares you can get your hands on, was her advice. You know what? I tend to agree with her!!(pending clarification of this NASDAQ involvement)
Cheers,
