BGR, Unfortunately, an introductory text in finance is filled with real world errors and illogical assumptions that make the models totally bogus. For example, setting an S&P 500 as your norm in measuring risk is ludicrous when the index is selling for 36 times eps and has almost no dividend yield. But, lots of suckers have bought into it and lots of dummies have gotten tenure with it, so more power to them.
