CREATIVE COMPUTERS INC (37-1/16, up 7 @ 10:36 ET) said late Tuesday it plans to distribute all of its 7.3 mln shares in online auction e-commerce Web site UBID INC to its shareholders in a tax-free spinoff. Based on the number of Creative common shares outstanding, Creative holders could get about 0.7 uBid common shares for each Creative share held on the record date, the company said. But the company said the final numbers will be determined based on the number of Creative shares outstanding on the record date May 24. The distribution is payable on June 7, the company said.
