Some key revelations at the meeting a) WGAT has a take ratio of 26% which basically means that presently without any advertising 26% of the people that have been offered WGAT accept it b) WGAT is being rolled out on a node to node basis thats the reason that people who have charter still can't get WGAT c) WGAT is trying to ally with media companies such as CBS, and NBC in which they can get an equity stake into WGAT in return for exclusive interactive television contracts d) WebTV is not interested presently in offering a cable access model ISP e) The possibility of revenues from the WGAT portal site can be huge, if WGAT becomes succesful, a lot of the projected numbers do not include this revenue f)WGAT did a study to see how people used the interactive television (HyperTV) product and some interesting results came out. Stations such as Nickelodean, and the Weather Channel that had less than 1% TV market had very high surfing share due to the superior interactivity offered by these channels. This basically tells you that even a small network can compete with the big boys by offering a better interactive product. Overall the conference really helped open my eyes and will purchase another 500 at opening price. This is truly the start of something great. And I also asked about ICTV, they have not even begun testing yet hence WGAT does not even consider them a competetion. Good Investing!!! Stock Pundit
