DJ Judge/Katzenberg -2: Claims Disney Owes Him $177 Mln

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--A judge has ruled in favor of Jeffrey Katzenberg in his $250
million lawsuit against the Walt Disney Co. (DIS), CNN reported Wednesday.
The judge ruled the film executive did not forfeit his rights to bonuses by leaving
the company in 1994, two years before the expiration of his six-year contract, the cable
news network said.
Katzenberg had sued Disney, saying claiming the company owes him at least $250 million
in bonuses for work he did as head of its film division before he resigned. Disney
claimed those bonuses were voided by Katzenberg's exit.
The trial was arbitrated by retired Superior Court Judge Paul Breckenridge in the
offices of Katzenberg's attorney, CNN reported.
Katzenberg claims Disney owes him about $117 dollars, although that amount has yet to
be determined by the judge.
As reported, Disney and Katzenberg had reached a partial settlement, which was sealed
by the court, but was reportedly $77 million.
