Ken -I know some math too but stock splits do move a stock up . Ask yourself would a average investor buy EBAY at 900 or 50 here. Bill gates owns over 1 bil MSFT shares thru stock splits yet people are happy to own 100 shares . Making people happy is what this market is about.
