You have to have a brain to be paranoid.

After watching several high profile RISC processors fail to take market share away from x86, Intel's management made the brilliant decision to blow off x86 and develop their own RISC CPU. Of course, they called it EPIC (not VLIW!) instead of RISC, and that made it a good decision.
